A sabon rahotonta na National “Multidimensional Poverty Index” da aka ƙaddamar a ranar Alhamis, NBS ta bayyana cewa kashi 63 cikin 100 na ‘yan Najeriya matalauta ne saboda rashin samun lafiya, ilimi, da rayuwa, tare da rashin aikin yi da kaduwa.
MPI tana ba da nau’i daban-daban na kimanta talauci, gano rashi a cikin lafiya, ilimi, matsayin rayuwa, aiki da firgita.
A cewar babban jami’in ƙididdiga na hukumar NBS, Semiu Adeniran, wannan ne karon farko da za su gudanar da wani bincike mai ma’ana kan talauci a Najeriya.

“An gudanar da binciken ne a shekarar 2021 zuwa 2022 kuma shi ne bincike mafi girma da girman samfurin sama da mutane 56,610 a gundumomin sanatoci 109 a cikin 36 da aka bayyana a Najeriya,” in ji shi.
Jami’in kula da ayyukan jin ƙai na Majalisar Ɗinkin Duniya a Najeriya, Matthias Schmale, wanda ya bayyana sakamakon binciken ya ce kashi 63 cikin 100 na ‘yan Najeriya marasa galihu ne ma’ana ana samun su ne ta fiye da daya daga cikin hudun da aka auna.
Ya ce, “ Talauci ya fi bayyana a yankunan karkara inda kashi 72 cikin 100 na mutane talakawa ne idan aka kwatanta da biranen da muke da kashi 42 cikin dari.
“Bambancin jinsi na ci gaba da shafar al’ummar kasar inda mutum daya cikin bakwai matalauta ke zaune a gidan da namiji ya kammala makarantar sakandare amma macen ba ta samu ba.”
